Marketing Specialist

We are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Specialist to help us in our overall marketing efforts. You will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion.

The Marketing Specialist will develop and oversee all strategic marketing initiatives through all channels maintained by Cotton Babies, Inc. This position researches, conceptualizes and executes innovative and creative content across web-based platforms like the corporate and brand websites, and social media.

Under supervision of the Marketing Director, the Marketing Specialist will also provide support in every outlet of the marketing department including social media management, corporate communications, copywriting, advertising, promotions, event planning as well as public, media and community relations. The Marketing Specialist is an expert in all things related to digital and traditional marketing, social media, strategic planning, content creation, brand consistency, engagement, optimization, and integration.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in creating, conception, and implementing continuous marketing strategies across many channels web and print that will drive sales, traffic and growth to Cotton Babies and its brands
  • Social Media strategy – creation, implementation, and monitoring across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram Pinterest,YouTube, etc.)
  • Create and curate unique engaging content
    • Create revenue driving content
    • Actively engage with followers on primary social media pages
    • Utilize social listening tools such as Facebook analytics and HootSuite*
    • Summarize insights and conversations to create actionable, client-facing reports that lead to optimization
    • Review user generated comments and posts in a quick and timely manner
    • Respond to comments, when appropriate, in order to foster a positive community and add value to the user’s experience.
    • Enforce the Social Media Guidelines as defined by the brand.
    • Escalate User Generated Content, where appropriate, to internal and client stakeholders.
    • Build and maintain influencer relations
    • Consumer communications – responsible for customer support on social media pages and groups (Instagram and Facebook)
  • Content creator and copy writing
    • Proven writing and editing skills
    • Experience with creating compelling messages for different target demographics and personas
    • Experience writing SEO content
    • Experience with multi-channel messaging: packaging, ecommerce, blog, social media, e-newsletters, print media, etc.
    • Experience with sales funnels and lead generation

  • Experience understanding of how data and analytics shape strategy
  • Some experience with web analytics, statistical and A/B testing, and inbound marketing tactics
  • Some experience working with Google Analytics and Google Adwords
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Positive attitude and desire to work not only as an individual, but with a team
  • Creativity and passion are a MUST
  • Has a working knowledge of best practices and marketing tools relevant to the industry
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, and e-mail. Must have a strong understanding of web and digital media applications.
